Welcome to the Edgebrook Church Website!

Edgebrook church was started in 1887 in the Lake View neighborhood of Chicago. We moved to Edgebrook in 1950 and have been here ever since. We are currently a small multigeneraltional church that loves new comers and is on the upswing. If you come for a visit, you can expect several of us to introduce ourselves and warmly start up a casual conversation with you.

Our Sunday morning music style can best be described as blended, as we love to sing both hymns as well as the latest worship tunes out there. Our teaching/preaching can best be described as primarily going passage by passage, verse by verse, through the Bible. We love book studies but also do some topical preaching as well. In order to augment the message, our pastor uses powerpoint and an occasional video clip helps convey Biblical truth in an engaging way.

Our Wednesday night Prayer, Praise and Bible study time is a little more traditional as we primarily sing hymns before we seek the Lord through prayer for the first half hour of our time together in the upstairs sanctuary. After that, we break into small groups and head downstairs for our men’s and women’s Bible studies were we go deeper into God’s word (no advance preparation is required).

And monthly, our men’s and women’s ministries gather for various activities and events. In addition, we are always looking for an excuse to gather and have fun together.
